Car Travel in Egypt

Most of the countries in the African continent and middle east are third world countries struggling with basic necessities. Roads are overcrowded and drivers pay less heed to road rules. Speed limit is not followed on open roads. Modified vehicles are often used that pose danger to the driver as well as other drivers. The roads in rural areas do not have pedestrian walkways. The road shoulders are not well put. Drivers have to drive cautiously as cattle, goats, animals, children and pedestrian may appear suddenly. Problems escalate in the night and become worse. Egyptian drivers use high beam headlights in the light or some would not use any. In either case, driving in both regions is highly risky.
